What RacePTL collects to run a fair, free skill game — and what we never do with it.

Draft — pending attorney review
This document is a working draft prepared for the RacePTL free-play beta. It has not yet been reviewed by counsel and may change before public launch. Version: DRAFT-2026-09-29.
1. Who we are
RacePTL is operated by NumberEdge Racing LLC. This policy explains what we collect when you use raceptl.com and the RacePTL apps (the “Service”), how we use it, and your choices. It applies only to RacePTL.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), handle and display name, date of birth, state of residence, and consent records (which versions of these terms you accepted and when, and your separate choice about marketing email).
- Gameplay data: races, reaction times, red lights, server timing trails, device and input type, clock-sync and latency samples, ratings, rankings, brackets, virtual-credit ledger entries, disputes, and reports.
- Official button data: if you connect an official button, its serial/identifier and the signatures it produces for your races.
- Content you post: chat messages, feedback, and profile details.
- Technical data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP (country/state), browser and device information, and records of your activity in the Service (for example, races, matches and contest entries).
- Waitlist data: if you join the real-money waitlist, your email address and the page you joined from.
We do not collect payment card or bank information; the Service does not accept payments.
3. How we use it
- to run the game: accounts, matchmaking, server-side timing, results, rankings, and brackets;
- to keep competition fair: anti-cheat and integrity review, duplicate-account detection, dispute resolution, and moderation;
- to apply age and location rules (RacePTL is 18+ only, and some contests are limited by state);
- to communicate about your account and, if you joined the waitlist, to tell you when real-money leagues launch in your area (you can opt out at any time);
- to fix bugs, measure performance, and improve the Service; and to comply with law.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for third-party targeted advertising.
4. What is public
Your handle, display name, rating, rank, race results, and bracket history may be visible to other racers and spectators (for example, on leaderboards, watch pages, and replays). Your email, date of birth, and IP address are never shown publicly.
5. Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us operate the Service, under contracts limiting their use of it — including cloud hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase). We may disclose information if required by law, to protect racers or the Service, or as part of a business transfer.
6. Adults only (18+)
RacePTL is only for people 18 and older. No one under 18 may register, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its personal information, except what we must keep by law. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, contact us.
7. Retention and security
We keep account data while your account is open. Race timing trails and integrity records are kept as long as needed to maintain rankings and resolve disputes, and may be retained in de-identified form. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or the waitlist ends. We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security), but no system is perfectly secure.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, or delete your account data, or close your account, by emailing us;
- Leave the waitlist at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us;
- Control cookies and local storage in your browser (the Service needs local storage to keep you signed in);
- Depending on your state, you may have additional rights (for example, to know, delete, or correct personal information, or to appeal a decision). We will honor verified requests as required by law.
9. Future real-money contests
If real-money or prize contests launch, they will require additional information (such as identity, location verification, and payout details), handled under separate terms and an updated privacy notice presented before you opt in.
10. Changes and contact
We will post updates here with a new “last updated” date. Questions or requests: mike@numberedge.com or 512-457-9348. NumberEdge Racing LLC, Kansas City, Missouri. See our Contact page.
